Technology for Excellence Conference

We have been very pleased to welcome 26 delegates from all over the world to the the school for a two day conference about the use of technology in education.

Staff have given presentations on different aspects of the curriculum and the uses of technology at various stages of the school, there has been excellent opportunity for discussion and the sharing of ideas, and delegates have had the opportunity to observe a range of lessons and speak to pupils.

Delegates enjoyed an excellent lunch at the New Dawn Coffee shop and an opportunity to look at the pupil digital art exhibition:

Last night we also held a reception at the McLean museum where university lecturers Douglas Marks and Leah Marks presented the findings of a recent research study conducted in the school as to the effects of technology on pupil engagement. The senior choir also sang a beautiful medley of Scottish songs to entertain our visitors.
